54 Passenger Bus Garage Parking Procedures

*Bus Garage Entry and Exit Procedures (Suspension Lowering Required)
Suspension Lowering Procedure (Entering the Garage)*

  1. Line up your bus with the bay you are attempting to enter.
  2. Set transmission to Neutral/Park and apply the parking brake.
  3. Lower the airbag suspension by depressing the suspension dump button (location: driver’s panel).
  4. Confirm the lowering was successful (check dash indicator and physical height).
  5. Release the parking brake and proceed slowly and with caution into the garage bay.
  6. Once parked in the final position, secure the vehicle:
    • Set transmission to Park (or Neutral)
    • Apply the parking brake.
    • Apply wheel chocks (if required by location).
  7. Post-Parking Shutdown: Turn ignition off, deactivate child reminder, lock the emergency door, and then lock the service door upon exiting the vehicle.

Suspension Raising Procedure (Exiting the Garage)

  1. Enter the bus and unlock the service door, then the emergency door.
  2. Start the vehicle.
  3. Critical Check: Ascertain the bus airbag suspension remains lowered before moving.
  4. Release the parking brake and proceed slowly and with caution exiting the garage.
  5. Once clear of the structure and safely pulled over, secure bus temporarily (Neutral/Park, Parking Brake).
  6. Raise the suspension by using the inflation control (or releasing the dump lock).
  7. Confirm the suspension is fully raised via the dashboard gauge/indicator.
